Believe it or not, this picture was taken on the street where I work. This Mallard was taking her 8 babies to the Rideau River here in Ottawa. She had to go across parking lots, street's, fields, and a 4 lane highway before she got there. I followed her to the edge of the field and then lost her in the grass. I sure hope she made it to the other side of the highway with her babies. Arent' they beautiful.?
